I love experimenting with new bootcamp exercises. Especially when it comes to my own workouts.
Although Royal Marine training was tough, I loved it because the PTI’s always had something new to throw at us. There was this one particular challenge called a ‘regain’.
Basically, you crawl along a rope on your belly (kit & rifle), then you dangle fully from the rope. The test (pass or fail) is to get back on the rope and keep crawling.
It’s really tough!
Under that rope is huge tank of freezing cold water waiting for you to fall in to. Which I did often, until the correct technique finally clicked in my brain.
Do you think you could do it?
